(1) If the polling officer is convinced that there is a riot or other unusual situation in a polling station, or if the electronic equipment cannot be operated for any reason, or if the polling officer is convinced that the polling cannot be done due to nuisance or natural calamity or any other uncontrollable reason, he may immediately suspend the polling operation of such polling station and The notice will be published at the same place.
(2) The polling officer shall immediately give notice of postponement of the polling according to sub-section (1) to the election officer.
(3) The Election Officer shall immediately inform the Chief Election Officer and the Commission of the postponement of voting as per sub-section (1).
(4) After receiving the information as per sub-section (2), unless otherwise instructed by the Commission, the election officer shall publish a notice specifying the date and time of re-voting in such polling station as soon as possible and conduct re-voting.
